This took one whole day to finish plus some finetuning on later days. Not too bad, but a huge difference in the functionality of the room!
The master bedroom is a small room (though quite a normal size for a finnish bedroom), and fits no more than the double bed and night stand(s).
We got the bed from the hubbies grandparents (note, the mattresses are new, or were..!) as well as the night stand. They only had one so on the other side we have a stool. The bedframe is quite old and a bit squicky but I love the color! And the quilt is handmade, I got it from my grandmom (some friend made it for her).
The closet was full of stuff (to be sold) and (clever me) as I had packed those well into boxes, I was able just move them into garage to wait for the yard sale.
I moved my everyday clothes into the closet, organized them according to color and changed the hangers to be similar (white, still some red ones waiting to be replaced). As I love organizing with baskets, I used those to put the socks (normal, sports and special (eg open shoe) socks) into different baskets so it’s easier to find what I’m looking for (before I had all in one basket). I put all the little things into baskets to keep them together.
Even though I renewed my garderobe not a year ago (after I got back to work and realized I couldn’t fit into my old clothes after having two kids), and again went all them through on february, I still put away several pieces!
One other thing that made a huge difference was that I hanged most of my clothes, instead of piling them. Easier to see quickly what to wear, no more clothes lost behind most used clothes.
We don’t have night lamps and actually don’t even need ones at the moment (if I read, I read ebooks) but the wall was so bare. I dream on some bigger painting or picture but this ballet pic I had ready at home waiting to be hanged, so I put it on the wall. The last thing remaining is to train the hubby to recognize what goes where 😉
